Shop Operation Mobile (SOM) is a web application that allows users to transact MISys shop operations. It is designed to use barcode as the primary mode for data entry – for user authentication, selecting MO no. and selecting operation no. This is facilitated by a CNS’ modified MO traveler to print MO no. and operation no. in a barcode.

If your teams are not systematically closing out old MO’s, or PO’s then your database likely has a large number of “open” records that still have the ability to have transactions posted against them. With MISys 6.4.3 there is a great new way to close out multiple records at a time, which will be a HUGE timesaver for your team in the event you might need to close out these old records and tidy up your database records.

You probably have hundreds if not thousands of closed MO’s, WO’s and PO’s sitting in your database forcing you to filter for open records or move forward to the last page just to get to that last PO or MO you just entered. Well with MISys 6.4.3, there is now a nice new feature that will allow you to bypass all those extra clicks.

When choosing the number of records to display in MISys, your primary focus should balance ease of use and performance. If you have a large dataset or years of transactional records, you cannot avoid pagination.

When using MISys Manufacturing with QuickBooks as the accounting software – it is important to remember that each user needs to have their permissions pre-defined within QuickBooks in order to effectively post the three types of transactions that affect the GL àSales Transfers, PO Invoicing & Period Ends.
